Carl Everette Harris, 76 of Charlotte Court House, departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 5 in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Evelyn Harris Foster and his sister, Vivian Harris. He joined Beautiful Plain Baptist Church at an early age. Carl attended Charlotte County Public Schools. As an adult, he became a truck driver and loved to transport people places. Carl leaves to cherish his memories, five step-brothers, James Foster (Rose), Leroy Foster (Elaine), Anthony Foster (Patrice), Jerome Foster (Beatrice) and Wilbur Foster (Sarah); one step-sister, Julia Woodson (Gregory); one cousin, Winn Harris; a devoted friend, Ruby Shuford and her three children, Reginald Shuford (Jennifer), Fontella Shuford (Conrad) and Cyrus Shuford (Selene) and a host of other relatives and friends. A graveside service was held on Dec. 12 at 1 p.m. at the Union Cemetery in Charlotte Court House. Condolences may be expressed at www.JeffressFuneralHome.com.
