Willie Alfred Adams, 69 of Appomattox, passed away on Feb. 25, in Lynchburg. He was the son of the late Willie Hugh Adams and Agnes Ernestine Dunnavant Adams.
He leaves to cherish his memory three brothers, Thomas Harrison Jr. of Alexandria, Larry Adams (Renita) of Cahokia, Illinois and Leon Adams of Lynchburg; four sisters, Delores Scott of Red House, Barbara Spain (Glanzy) of Chase City, Shirlie Majercak of Lynchburg and Aileen Ferguson (Wilbert) of Evergreen; sisters-in-law, Betsy Dennis of Manassas and Betty Adams of Lynchburg; a longtime friend and companion, Irwin Holley; special caregiver and nephew, Joe Dennis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 4, at 1 p.m., at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel in Brookneal, with interment in Beautiful Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Red House. Public viewing will begin on Thursday, March 3, from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
