Frances Anne Ramsey Hunter

Frances Anne Ramsey Hunter, 84, of Wheelers Spring Road, Appomattox, died Thursday, December 31, 2015 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Norman Leslie Ramsey, Sr. and Elzie Moore Ramsey and the widow of William Allen Hunter.

She is survived by a son, William Allen Hunter, Jr and his wife, Muriel of Forest; two daughters, Martha Elzie Hunter of Richmond and Charlotte Leslie Hunter Pearce and husband, Kenneth of Chapel Hill, N.C.; also surviving are seven grandsons, William Allen Hunter, III and his wife, Christina, Adam Clinton Hunter, Reuben Isaac Hunter and wife, Jing, Clayton Davis Hunter, Walter Dunn Hunter, Daniel Garrett Pearce, Luke Douglas Pearce; and one granddaughter, Hunter Elzie Pearce. Mrs. Hunter is also survived by a brother, Jack Vaughan Ramsey and was preceded in death by another brother, Norman Leslie Ramsey, Jr.

Mrs. Hunter received her Bachelor of Science degree and her Masters of Science degree from Longwood College and was a retired teacher with the Charlotte County School System. She was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, January 3, 2016, in Concord Presbyterian Church, Wheelers Spring Road, Appomattox by Dr. Louis Skidmore. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 6:30 pm, Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
