Town elections – who’s on the ballot?

In addition to the presidential election, Charlotte County voters who live in the Town of Phenix and Keysville will go to the polls to cast their votes for mayor and council members.

In Keysville, incumbent Steven L. Morris is running unopposed for a second term as the town’s mayor.

For Keysville Town Council, three seats are open and being sought by Daniel T. Cooper, Anthony V. Ferranto, and Rhonda Locke Benn. All seats are unopposed. Benn is an incumbent.

In Phenix, Dean Evans, who served as the town’s vice mayor until the retirement of Mayor Franklin Dodd in February at the age of 90, is running unopposed for the position of mayor. Evans has been serving as the Town of Phenix mayor since being appointed following Dodd’s retirement.

For Phenix Town Council, Rodney Joe Childress and Gladys Haskins Reid are up for re-election and are unopposed.
