BUFFALO Soldiers and Friends ride in and make donation to RHHS 2020 graduate

BUFFALO Soldiers and Friends, a motorcycle group who raises money for a local scholarship has chosen Tanea Doswell as this year’s recipient.

Doswell is an honors graduate of Randolph-Henry High School and also Governor’s School of Southside Virginia with an associates degree in humanities. Doswell has served as class president for her sophomore, junior, and senior years. She has earned the distinguished honor of HOBY Leadership Ambassador, crowned homecoming queen and junior princess, and served as student leader of Being Leaders of Our Generation (BLOG), where she helped to implement a virtual peer roundtable talk series on the school closures as a result of COVID-19. She has also served as president of Rise Up.

During her academic career, she has worked as a youth mentor in Charlotte County Public Schools 21st Century program and completed a summer research apprenticeship at Longwood University in their chemistry department. She has logged 100+ community service hours. Doswell has been accepted into the Cormier Honors College of Longwood University and will be majoring in psychology with a minor in neuroscience in the fall.
