Keysville family injured in wreck

A Keysville family is recovering following a vehicle accident that occurred in Halifax County Aug. 6, at 1 p.m. on U.S. Route 360.
According to Virginia State Police, a 2017 Toyota Camry driven by Miroung Go, 45, of Keysville was traveling north on Route 614 when it began pulling across U.S. Route 360.
The Toyota pulled into the path of an eastbound tractor-trailer driven by Cody A. Austin, 29, of South Hill.
The two vehicles collided in the eastbound lane of U.S. Route 360. The impact of the crash caused the tractor-trailer to run off the left side of U.S. Route 360 and strike a house.
The home was occupied at the time, but no injuries to occupants were reported.
Austin was not injured in the crash and was wearing a seat belt.
Go, who was also wearing a seat belt and three passengers were injured in the crash.
Go’s husband, Ohhwan Freedman Kim, is the pastor at Keysville United Methodist Church.
An update was posted on social media by Freedman Kim Aug. 14 following a meeting with medical staff concerning his son Tony who was injured in the crash.
The post stated, “Three things are clear from this meeting. 1. He can survive. 2. He cannot be him as he used to be. 3. It will be a long fight.”
According to Virginia State Police charges are pending.
