The Charlotte County Board of Supervisors voted to combine two voting places and relocate the venue during their monthly meeting on Tuesday.

The Cullen and Red House polling places were unanimously moved to the White Oak Grove Baptist Church in Phenix.

Five of seven board members voted to move the Bacon and Saxe polling place to the Southall Community Building in Saxe. Bacon and Saxe district board member Royal Freeman and Chairman Haywood Hamlet voted against the relocation.

The next public hearing will take place on Monday and will discuss potential amendments and appropriations to the 2015-16 Charlotte County budget for $1,100,000 and the 2016-17 budget for $12,800,000 for the New Courthouse Capital Project.
