Photos can showcase local accomplishments

Ever since I can remember, the Gazette’s opinion page has always had the great “Picture of the Week” feature.

Not only is this a way for the paper to bring life to our opinion page, but it also is a way for community members to showcase what they think are great examples to the local area.

Take today’s photo  for example: The American Legion Auxilliary Unit 260 shared Christmas presents with residents in Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

That is a good deed that the group volunteers their time to do just because they want to help others, and we are proud to showcase their work of goodwill.

If you know anyone or any organization that you believe deserves to be in the “Picture of the Week” spot, email me at the address below.
