Centra Southside welcomes first baby of 2024

The first baby of 2024 has officially been born in this region. On Friday, Jan. 5, Farmville’s Centra Southside Community Hospital played host to the first birth, welcoming Lance Kirby Horst into the world. Lance, the son of Kathy and Karlin Horst of Victoria, came in weighing 7 lbs 3 ounces and measuring 20 inches long. Lance has a 5-year old sister, Kalli and a 2-year old brother, Colter.
