Harding and Hornets win National Championship

Randolph-Henry graduate and former baseball player Jackson Harding not only punched his ticket to the Division 3 College World Series, he cashed it in.

The Lynchburg Hornets won the Division 3 National Championship this past week for the first time in history. Harding had the game winning hit in the final game, with a bases clearing double that drove in 3 runs.

He had 6 total hits in the College World Series, and the Hornets finished 5-1. They defeated Johns Hopkins University in a best of three series.
