VETERANS DAY PARADE — The Charlotte County Farmers Market will sponsor a Veterans Day Parade in Drakes Branch on Saturday, Nov. 12. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m., with those involved lining up an hour earlier across from the Drakes Branch Baptist Church. Those who want to participate are asked to contact Julie Hamlett at crewite@ hotmail.com. All veterans are invited to take part.

NOVEMBER 19

ORDINATION SERVICE — New Witt Baptist Church will hold an ordination service for Candidate Bro. Thomas Lewis on Saturday, Nov. 19. The council will meet at 1 p.m., with the service beginning at 2 p.m. The Rev. Walter Fells, pastor of Mercy Seat Baptist Church, will deliver the message. New Witt is located on Farmville Highway South at 7469 Meherrin Road. The public is invited and asked to please wear a mask.

NOVEMBER 20

FRIENDS AND FAMILY DAY — St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen will hold Friends and Family Day on Sunday, Nov. 20. Rev. Jonathan Wade, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church of Baltimore, Maryland will deliver the 11 a.m. message.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY WORSHIP — A worship service with Confident Women Ministry is held every Sunday at 3 p.m. online via conference call. Services are led by Rev. Loretta Bailey and anyone is invited to call 1-657-390-7012 to take part.

ST. MICHAEL BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch holds worship services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays of each month Masks are required. The Rev. James E. Goode is the pastor.
