As Christ Followers we see great direction in Galations Chapter 5 verse 16 tells us, “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.” It is amazing that God is so kind to even give us instruction on how we are to pick up our cross and follow Jesus. Take note, “… you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.” You may be wondering, “What is the desire of the flesh?”

If you skip down to verse 19-21 you can clearly see examples of immoral behavior or behaviors that do not honor God or his people. Paul even ends those examples with … and like these. This means it is not the whole list. Truly we know within ourselves things that do not please God. If we are walking in the Spirit, we must know.

These could also be explained as pornography, sex outside of marriage, sexual gratification, any kind of idolatry (what you worship other than God) like power, prestige, position, possessions and of course human relations like focus on others, cannot get along with others, you want what “they have.”
