CHRISTMAS PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at Gill Hill Baptist Church. Everyone is invited.

PRAYER BREAKFAST, 9 a.m. at St. Douglas Baptist Church. The Rev. Dorothy Reid will be the speaker. All are welcome.

DECEMBER 2

CELEBRATION SERVICE, 7 p.m. at Rough Creek Presbyterian Church. The program is titled “Hanging of the Greens.” Refreshments will follow the program.

PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Keysville. The church will celebrate their the Rev. Wyatt Vaughan, Jr’s 11th anniversary. The Rev. Maurice Finney of St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen will be the guest preacher along with his choir. Dinner will be served. All are welcome.

PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 11 a.m. at Gethsemane Presbyterian Church. Everyone is invited to attend.

DECEMBER 4

HEART OF VIRGINIA BEEKEEPERS MEETING, 7 p.m. at the Prince Edward County Extension Office across from Lowe’s in Farmville. The annual holiday dinner will be catered, but dishes are welcome. COMMUNITY MEETING, 7 p.m. at the Bacon District Fire House. This event is hosted by Wylliesburg/ Red Oak Supervisor Kay Morgan Pierantoni.

CHRISTMAS PLAY, 6:30 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. Doors open at 6 p.m. The church invites all to join for “Christmas at the Cross.” Refreshments will be served. The church is located at 790 Saxkey Road.

BENEFIT/APPRECIATION PROGRAM, 2 p.m. at Morrison Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House. This event will benefit Sister Imogene Pannell. Several musical groups will be in attendance. All are invited.

PANNELL FAMILY PROGRAM, 2:30 p.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Brookneal. All are welcome.

DECEMBER 16

PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Gill Hill Baptist Church. The church will celebrate Pastor Isiah Hurt’s 10th anniversary. The Rev. Charles Woolfolk of White Oak Grove Baptist in Phenix will give the word and music will be rendered by the White Oak Grove Baptist Church Mass Choir. Everyone is invited.

FEBRUARY 12

BEEKEEPER’S SCHOOL, 7-9 p.m. at the Prince Edward County Extension Office across from Lowe’s in Farmville. A hands-on session is tentatively planned for a date to be announced since it is weather-dependent. Cost will include all classes and two books. Pre-registration is required.
