Marie Catherine Smith Freeman, 91 of Randolph, passed away on Feb. 11. Marie was born on May 25, 1932, to the late Roy Anderson Smith and Mary Tweedy Smith in Campbell County.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie W. Freeman.

Forever cherishing her memories are her daughter, Shirley Shepperson; son, Royal Freeman; grandchildren, Omar Roberts, Angela Shepperson, Jehmal Shepperson, Denise Nicholson (Michael), Terrell Freeman, Donald Freeman, Jr. (Shamar), Brandon Mosley (Shamika) and Eboni Freeman; a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Geneva Younger; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m., at Mossingford Baptist Church in Saxe, with interment in the church cemetery. Public viewing will begin on Thursday, Feb. 15, from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home in Charlotte Court House. Condolences may be expressed at http://www.JeffressFuneralHome.com.
