One person was hospitalized with burns after a home caught fire in Charlotte County on Monday afternoon. 

According to the Red House Volunteer Fire Department, when arriving at the home on Whites Chapel Road, crews found flames showing from three sides of the building, and right away, crews started checking inside the house and trying to knock the fire down. 

As of press time, the cause of the fire and the individual’s condition has not been released. 

In addition to Red House Volunteer Fire Department crews from Phenix, Brookneal Charlotte County Rescue Squad, Charlotte County. Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police responded to the scene.
