Col. (Ret) U.S. Army, Dr. Otis Jerome Elam, 81 of Fairfax Station, and formerly of Saxe, passed Wednesday, Nov.15. 

Beloved husband to Shirley Jones Elam; loving father to Tonya Elam Springer and Jeronica Nicole Elam and cherished grandfather of Christopher Jerome Elam and Austin Curtis King. He was the last surviving child of the late William Henry and Mary Jane Price Elam.

Services were held at Antioch Baptist Church, Fairfax Station, with Rev Rochella C. Marable, providing the Eulogy and Prayer of Comfort offered by Rev Dr. Horace B. Parham, Pastor, Shiloh Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, on Tuesday Nov. 28. Internment in the Quantico National Cemetery with Military Honors.
