NOVEMBER 19 

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY — St. Andrews Baptist Church, located at 2100 Taro Road in Cullen, will hold Family and Friends Day on Sunday, Nov. 19, beginning at 11 a.m. Dr. Maurice Finney will deliver the message, with a meal served afterward. 

NOVEMBER 21 

PRE-THANKSGIVING SERVICE — Friendship Baptist Church, located at 239 Friendship Church Road in Drakes Branch, will have a pre-Thanksgiving service on Tuesday, Nov. 21, beginning at 7 p.m. There will be singing, refreshments and a message delivered. Residents are asked to bring at least two cans of non-perishable food items. 

NOVEMBER 23 

THANKSGIVING SERVICE — Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 125 Shiloh Church Road in Drakes Branch, will have Thanksgiving service on Thursday, Nov. 23, beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Horace will deliver the message. 

NOVEMBER 25 

CHRISTMAS IN NOVEMBER — Phenix Fire Department will hold Christmas in November Prize Bingo on Saturday, Nov. 25. Doors open at 1 p.m., with the games starting at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $20, with a fish dinner that includes fish, baked beans, potato salad, slaw and hot dogs for sale, beginning at noon. There will be door prizes, 50/50 raffle, a money tree and more.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY WORSHIP — A worship service with Confident Women Ministry is held every Sunday at 3 p.m. online via conference call. Services are led by Rev. Loretta Bailey and anyone is invited to call 1-657-390-7012 to take part. 

ST. MICHAEL BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch holds worship services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays of each month Masks are required. The Rev. James E. Goode is the pastor. 

SHILOH BAPTIST CHURCH — Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 125 Shiloh Church Road in Drakes Branch holds services every Sunday at 10 a.m. Rev. Dr. Horace B. Parham Jr. is the pastor. All are welcome. 

AMATEUR RADIO MEETING — The Charlotte County Amateur Radio Club meets the first Sunday of the month at 1426 Estes Road in Chase City. The meeting begins at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Jason at (434) 944-9100. 

ST. ANDREWS BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen holds worship services at 11 a.m. the first and third Sundays. Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. the first, second, third and fourth Sundays. The Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney is the pastor. 

BEAUTIFUL PLAIN BAPTIST — Beautiful Plain Baptist Church holds services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House until further notice. 

HEBRON UNITED METHODIST — Hebron United Methodist Church in Saxe holds in-person services at 9:45 a.m. until further notice. Masks are required to attend. 

PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix worship service is at 9 a.m. each Sunday morning. There will be no Sunday school. 

MT. CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1101 Mt. Carmel Road, in Brookneal worship service is at 11 a.m. each Sunday morning. There will be no Sunday school.
