Randolph-Henry students win at State Fair

Members of the Randolph-Henry Junior Forestry Field Day Team show off their awards after finishing first in their division.

Randolph-Henry students came back from the State Fair carrying several awards with them this year. The Junior Forestry Field Day Team finished first in their division and individually, Hunter Knott placed first in the Bow Saw, Joe Irving and Devin Letterman placed first in the log roll. Kayla Moorefield and Penelope Southall added to the award totals, finishing third in the crosscut saw.

Meanwhile, the Senior Forestry Field Day Team came in second in the senior division. Some of their members brought home individual awards, including Mason Hamlett, who tied for first in the Bow Saw; Joshua Lehman and Caiden Tucker, who finished first in the log roll; A.J. Jennings, who brought home second in the log throw and Junior Powell and Jacob Case, who placed fourth in the Crosscut Saw.
