NOVEMBER 3 – NOVEMBER 4

HOLIDAY BAZAAR – St. Theresa Church will hold a Holiday Bazaar at its Parish Center, located at 700 Buffalo Street in Farmville on Friday, Nov. 3 and Saturday, Nov. 4. The Friday event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., while Saturday it’ll be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

NOVEMBER 4

STEW FUNDRAISER – The Charlotte County APVA will sponsor a stew on Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Keysville Auto Center. Proceeds from the stew will be used for projects of the organization. Butch Shook is the stewmaster. The stew will be $8 a quart and will be ready for pickup at 11 a.m. Please call 434-736-9241 for preorders. 

NOVEMBER 5

BOOK AND AUTHOR EVENT – Tucker’s Store, located at 200 David Bruce Ave. in Charlotte Court House, will hold an event with Kathleen Grissom, author of “Crow Mary”. The event begins at 3 p.m. 

NOVEMBER 7

BEEKEEPERS MEETING – The Heart of Virginia Beekeepers will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 7, beginning at 6:30 p.m. This will be the annual Fun Honey-Tasting at the Prince Edward Extension Office, located at 100 Dominion Drive in Farmville. NOVEMBER 15

FARMER’S OUTREACH – Southside Soil and Water Conservation District will host an outreach meeting and lunch for local farmers on Wednesday, Nov. 15, beginning at 10 a.m. That will include a chili and cornbread lunch at the Barn at Pine View, located at 1230 Pineview Lane in Keysville. Those interested need to RSVP to 434-542-5405 ext. 2 by Nov. 8.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY WORSHIP – A worship service with Confident Women Ministry is held every Sunday at 3 p.m. online via conference call. Services are led by Rev. Loretta Bailey and anyone is invited to call 1-657-390-7012 to take part. 

MICHAEL BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch holds worship services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays of each month Masks are required. The Rev. James E. Goode is the pastor.

SHILOH BAPTIST CHURCH – Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 125 Shiloh Church Road in Drakes Branch holds services every Sunday at 10 a.m. Rev. Dr. Horace B. Parham Jr. is the pastor. All are welcome. 

AMATEUR RADIO MEETING — The Charlotte County Amateur Radio Club meets the first Sunday of the month at 1426 Estes Road in Chase City. The meeting begins at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Jason at (434) 944-9100.

ANDREWS BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen holds worship services at 11 a.m. the first and third Sundays. Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. the first, second, third and fourth Sundays. The Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney is the pastor.

BEAUTIFUL PLAIN BAPTIST — Beautiful Plain Baptist Church holds services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House until further notice.

HEBRON UNITED METHODIST — Hebron United Methodist Church in Saxe holds in-person services at 9:45 a.m. until further notice. Masks are required to attend.

PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix worship service is at 9 a.m. each Sunday morning. There will be no Sunday school.

CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1101 Mt. Carmel Road, in Brookneal worship service is at 11 a.m. each Sunday morning. There will be no Sunday school.
