Tammie Adams Vaughan, 64 of Amelia, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Oct. 7, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her mother, Marion Adams; brother, Steve Adams, and loving husband Richard “Stumpy” Vaughan.

She leaves to cherish her memory her 3 children; daughters, Bridgett “Calynn” Reilly (James) and Mekala Vaughan and son, William Vaughan (Tiffany) all of Amelia; sisters, Diane Adams and Crissy Dix; nieces and nephews, Marion Griffin, Mariah Bowen (Dylan), Deuce Adams (Shorty) and Rudy Adams and brother-in-law, Ronald Vaughan. She also leaves behind a number of close friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 11, at the Hamner-McMillian Funeral Home, 1400 South Main Street, Blackstone, where funeral services will be held, 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 12. Interment to be held in Rennie Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Amelia. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to The Bon Secours Cancer Institute at St, Francis.
