SEPTEMBER 8

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL — The Randolph-Henry High Statesmen football team will play a home game against Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy on Friday, Sept. 8. The game starts at 7 p.m. and the school is located at 755 David Bruce Ave. in Charlotte Court House.

SEPTEMBER 12

BLOOD DRIVE — Midway Baptist Church will hold a Red Cross blood drive on Tuesday, Sept. 12. The event will run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

SEPTEMBER 15

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL — The Randolph-Henry High Statesmen football team will play a home game against William Campbell High on Friday, Sept. 15. The game starts at 7 p.m. and the school is located at 755 David Bruce Ave. in Charlotte Court House.

SEPTEMBER 16

WALK FOR LIFE — The Pregnancy Support Center of Southside Virginia will host a Walk for Life fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 16, beginning at 8:30 a.m. It’ll start at Osborne Park, located at 426 Osborne Street in Keysville.

STEW FUNDRAISER — Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 2597 Bruceville Road in Meherrin, will hold a stew on Saturday, Sept. 16. The event begins at 1 p.m., with stew sold by the bowl for $4 and by the quart for $8. Hotdog plates will also be available at $4 a plate. The event will also feature live music, yard games and a bounce house for kids.

SEPTEMBER 22

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL — The Randolph-Henry High Statesmen football team will play a home game against Cumberland High on Friday, Sept. 22. The game starts at 7 p.m. and the school is located at 755 David Bruce Ave. in Charlotte Court House.

SEPTEMBER 23

CAR & BIKE SHOW — Charlotte County Christmas Parents will host a car and bike show on Saturday, Sept. 23, beginning at 10 a.m. The event will be held at Heartland Business Park. To take part, a would-be vendor just has to call 434-470-8180. Attendees are asked to bring a new toy to donate to needy families.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY WORSHIP — A worship service with Confident Women Ministry is held every Sunday at 3 p.m. online via conference call. Services are led by Rev. Loretta Bailey and anyone is invited to call 1-657-390-7012 to take part.

ST. MICHAEL BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch holds worship services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays of each month Masks are required. The Rev. James E. Goode is the pastor.

SHILOH BAPTIST CHURCH — Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 125 Shiloh Church Road in Drakes Branch holds services every Sunday at 10 a.m. Rev. Dr. Horace B. Parham Jr. is the pastor. All are welcome.

AMATEUR RADIO MEETING — The Charlotte County Amateur Radio Club meets the first Sunday of the month at 1426 Estes Road in Chase City. The meeting begins at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Jason at (434) 944-9100.

ST. ANDREWS BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen holds worship services at 11 a.m. the first and third Sundays. Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. the first, second, third and fourth Sundays. The Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney is the pastor.

BEAUTIFUL PLAIN BAPTIST — Beautiful Plain Baptist Church holds services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House until further notice.

HEBRON UNITED METHODIST — Hebron United Methodist Church in Saxe holds in-person services at 9:45 a.m. until further notice. Masks are required to attend.

PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix worship service is at 9 a.m. each Sunday morning. There will be no Sunday school.

MT. CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1101 Mt. Carmel Road, in Brookneal worship service is at 11 a.m. each Sunday morning. There will be no Sunday school.
