Nona Dell Pillow ParhamNona Dell Pillow Parham, 91 of Herndon, formerly of Hampton, died on May, 27. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Louis Daniel Parham Jr., and her daughter, Karol Renee Parham.

She is survived by her son, Louis Daniel Parham III, and his wife, Noradel Parham, and three grandsons, Dan Parham, Liam Parham and Michael Parham of Herndon. In addition, she is survived by nieces, Martha Poston Turner of Manakin Sabot and Janet Poston Hardeman of Charleston, South Carolina; nephews, the Honorable Charles Poston of Norfolk, Francis Pillow of Colonial Beach, Ken Pillow and Charles Henry Pillow of Tempe, Arizona; as well as numerous cousins and extended family.

Born in Charlotte County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Henry Pillow and Mary Grace Sublett Pillow and grew up in Red Hill, with her four siblings, the late Garland Pillow, Mildred Pillow Poston, Kenneth Pillow and Wade Pillow (all deceased).

Nona Dell graduated from Randolph Henry High School in Charlotte County. She held numerous administrative assistant positions in Keysville and served as office manager for her husband’s medical practices in White Stone, Montross and Hampton, while raising their two children.

Nona Dell cherished her family and friends and never failed to give 100% of herself to ensure their happiness and well-being. She always looked forward to entertaining her family and friends at her homes in Hampton and Sandbridge Beach.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 26, at 1 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church in Phenix. The burial will follow at the Midway Baptist Church cemetery.
