JULY 19-AUGUST 18

YOUTH SOCCER REGISTRATION — Anyone who wants to play in the Charlotte County Youth Soccer League this fall has until August 18 to register. Games will be played from Aug. 26 through October 29. If your child’s birth year is 2018-2019, then the cost is $40. If your child was born anytime from 2005 to 2017, the cost is $60. Practices begin Aug. 1 on the Keysville Fields. JULY 23

WALTON FAMILY REUNION — Beautiful Plain Baptist Church, located at 333 Thomas Jefferson Highway in Charlotte Court House, will hold a Walton Family Reunion Day on Sunday, July 23. It will start at 11 a.m., during the morning worship service. The New Bethel Community Male Chorus will provide the music.

JULY 24

GOLF TRYOUTS — Any student interested in trying out for the R-H Golf team should be at Briery Country Club at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 24. All players must have a completed athletic participation/ parental consent/physical examination form completed by a doctor when they come to tryouts. JULY 26-28

YOUTH REVIVAL — Safe Haven Christian Ministries, located at 5150 Patrick Henry Highway in Meherrin, will hold a youth revival from Wednesday, July 26 to Friday, July 28. The service begins at 7 p.m. each night.

JULY 29

YOUTH COOKOUT — Safe Haven Christian Ministries, located at 5150 Patrick Henry Highway in Meherrin, will hold a youth cookout on Saturday, July 29. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a school supplies giveaway also taking place.

AUGUST 9-11

REVIVAL — St. Level Baptist Church, located at 3 Highway 15 in Clarksville, will hold revival services Wednesday Aug. 9, Thursday, Aug. 10 and Friday, Aug. 11 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Rev. Michael Jackson, pastor of St. Matthew Baptist Church in Clarksville will deliver the message Wednesday. He’ll be followed Thursday by Rev. Brenda Hutchinson, pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church in Boydton. Finally on Friday, Rev. James Moore, pastor of Lombardy Grove Church in South Hill will preach. The ministers will be accompanied each night by their respective choirs.

AUGUST 12

CHURCH PICNIC — St. Level Baptist Church, located at 3 Highway 15 in Clarksville, will hold a church picnic on Saturday, Aug. 12, starting at 5 p.m.

AUGUST 13

HOMECOMING — St. Level Baptist Church, located at 3 Highway 15 in Clarksville, will hold homecoming services on Sunday, Aug. 13, beginning at 11 a.m. The Rev. Toney W. Smith, pastor of St. Level, will deliver the message.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY WORSHIP — A worship service with Confident Women Ministry is held every Sunday at 3 p.m. online via conference call. Services are led by Rev. Loretta Bailey and anyone is invited to call 1-657-390-7012 to take part.

ST. MICHAEL BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch holds worship services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays of each month Masks are required. The Rev. James E. Goode is the pastor.

SHILOH BAPTIST CHURCH — Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 125 Shiloh Church Road in Drakes Branch holds services every Sunday at 10 a.m. Rev. Dr. Horace B. Parham Jr. is the pastor. All are welcome.

AMATEUR RADIO MEETING — The Charlotte County Amateur Radio Club meets the first Sunday of the month at 1426 Estes Road in Chase City. The meeting begins at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Jason at (434) 944-9100.

ST. ANDREWS BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen holds worship services at 11 a.m. the first and third Sundays. Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. the first, second, third and fourth Sundays. The Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney is the pastor.

BEAUTIFUL PLAIN BAPTIST — Beautiful Plain Baptist Church holds services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House until further notice.

HEBRON UNITED METHODIST — Hebron United Methodist Church in Saxe holds in-person services at 9:45 a.m. until further notice. Masks are required to attend.

PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix worship service is at 9 a.m. each Sunday morning. There will be no Sunday school.

MT. CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1101 Mt. Carmel Road, in Brookneal worship service is at 11 a.m. each Sunday morning. There will be no Sunday school.
