JUNE 8-9

REVIVAL – Safe Haven Christian Ministries, located at 5150 Patrick Henry Highway in Meherrin, will hold two nights of tent revival on Thursday, June 8 and Friday, June 9. The service starts at 7 p.m. each night, with guest speaker Minister Troy Jones of First Baptist Church in Greenwich, Connecticut. Jones is originally from Charlotte County and is a 1987 graduate of Randolph-Henry High

JUNE 10

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL – Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 125 Shiloh Church Road in Drakes Branch, will hold Vacation Bible School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 10.

COOL DOWN IN TOWN — The Town of Phenix will hold a car, jeep and UTV show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 10. The Southland band will be playing, there will be food trucks and other vendors, as well as a “Touch a Truck” opportunity for kids to fire trucks and other vehicles up close.

JUNE 11

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY — New Rehoboth Baptist Church will hold a Family and Friends Day of fellowship on Sunday, June 11, during the 11 a.m. service. People are welcome to dress casually.

PASTORAL ANNIVERSARY – New Hope Baptist Church in Keysville will celebrate Pastor Vatell Allen and First Lady Dianna Allen’s seventh church anniversary. The event will be held on Sunday, June 11 in a 3 p.m. service. Rev. Jackson of Zion Hill Baptist Church will preach the message.

JUNE 17

JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION — The Central High Museum will sponsor a Juneteenth celebration on the museum grounds at 515 Thomas Jefferson Highway in Charlotte Court House. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a theme of “Pressing On to Keep Hope Alive”. The guest speaker will be Wanda Morrison, the first black mayor of Kenbridge. Guest musicians will include Charlie Davis and the New Beginnings Gospel Singers. A skit will be performed by Confident Women Ministries. In addition, Al Brodgen will serve as DJ throughout the day. GOSPEL SINGING – Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 125 Shiloh Church Road in Drakes Branch, will hold a “Church Party” gospel singing on Saturday, June 17. The event begins at 4 p.m.

JUNE 27-29

REVIVAL – Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 125 Shiloh Church Road in Drakes Branch, will hold a revival from June 27 to June 29. The service begins at 7 p.m.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY WORSHIP — A worship service with Confident Women Ministry is held every Sunday at 3 p.m. online via conference call. Services are led by Rev. Loretta Bailey and anyone is invited to call 1-657-390-7012 to take part.

ST. MICHAEL BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch holds worship services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays of each month Masks are required. The Rev. James E. Goode is the pastor.

SHILOH BAPTIST CHURCH — Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 125 Shiloh Church Road in Drakes Branch holds services every Sunday at 10 a.m. Rev. Dr. Horace B. Parham Jr. is the pastor. All are welcome.

AMATEUR RADIO MEETING — The Charlotte County Amateur Radio Club meets the first Sunday of the month at 1426 Estes Road in Chase City. The meeting begins at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Jason at (434) 944-9100.

ST. ANDREWS BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen holds worship services at 11 a.m. the first and third Sundays. Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. the first, second, third and fourth Sundays. The Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney is the pastor.

BEAUTIFUL PLAIN BAPTIST — Beautiful Plain Baptist Church holds services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House until further notice.

HEBRON UNITED METHODIST — Hebron United Methodist Church in Saxe holds in-person services at 9:45 a.m. until further notice. Masks are required to attend.

PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix worship service is at 9 a.m. each Sunday morning. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.

MT. CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1101 Mt. Carmel Road, in Brookneal worship service is at 11 a.m. each Sunday morning. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.
