Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

When my mother moved to Heaven, it made me think more about eternity. What happens when you died? If you have never lost a loved one, death puts things in a different perspective. It is not just funerals and arrangements we leave behind, but we leave behind some type of legacy. I ask myself, “What am I doing with my time and how much time do I have left?” I do not think anyone is ever prepared for loss. I did so much soul searching and the older I get the more I still do.

The Word says, “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with him and he with me.” (Rev 3:20) God desires to have a relationship with you and with me. He desires to spend time with us and for us to want to spend time with Him. He wants us to make room in our lives for Him.

I hope that my legacy with you these past few years has encouraged you to have a relationship with God, to learn the Word and to love God and love people. God says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” We all have a road to travel and mine is taking me on a new adventure.

Looking at Paul and his whole ministry. He was headed to Rome to share the gospel. The entire journey was preparing him for that very moment. God has plans for you and for me. We are all headed to a specific moment and time to be used for the glory of God.

My prayer is that you will walk worthy before God, that you will be blessed in your coming and going, that you will be so in love with God that you will be compelled, as a Christ Follower, to share this wonderful treasure that has been deposited within you. In 2 Corinthians 4:7, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” God has promised that He has equipped us to do the work of the ministry.

2 Timothy 3:16-17; “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That those who follow Christ may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” We are able! Be encouraged to stay on course!
