On May 18, the Statesmen JV baseball team played Halifax County High School for a game of “Strikeouts for the Cure”. The varsity baseball team volunteered to be a part of the cheering section and handed out t-shirts throughout the night. Players were dressed in pink and white attire. This game was organized to honor a baseball mom who is courageously battling breast cancer. Players and coaches from both teams united for the cause.
