APRIL 29

PASTORAL RETIREMENT — New Witt Baptist Church, located at 7469 Meherrin Road in Farmville, will hold a service to commemorate the retirement of their pastor, Rev. Winston Bland, on Saturday, April 29. The service will take place at 1 p.m. with Rev. Vincent Eanes, pastor of the Lone Oak Baptist Church delivering the message. People are asked to wear a mask if they attend and respect social distancing.

REGIONAL OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD EVENT — Ash Camp Baptist Church in Keysville will hold a special Operation Christmas Child event on Saturday, April 29 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Shoe box recipient Dania Andraos from the Middle East will share her testimony about how God answered her prayer through the simple gift from Operation Christmas Child.

APRIL 30

GOSPEL SINGING — The Old Time Gospel Singers will perform on Sunday, April 30, during the 11 a.m. service at Union Grove Baptist Church. After the singing, there will be a covered dish luncheon. The church is located at 2006 County Line Road in Keysville. For more information, call 434-736-9970.

PASTORAL ANNIVERSARY — Mossingford Baptist Church will celebrate a pastoral anniversary on Sunday, April 30, during a service at 3 p.m. Rev. Maurice Finney will be the guest speaker, with refreshments served after the service.

MAY 2

BLOOD DRIVE — Midway Baptist Church, located at 2595 Midway Road in Phenix, will hold a blood drive on Tuesday, May 2. The event will run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the church’s fellowship hall.

MAY 7

SENSATIONAL 4 REUNION — The Sensational 4 with Gayle Jones Foster will hold a reunion event on Sunday, May 7, beginning at 3 p.m. This will be at the Prince Edward County High School auditorium in Farmville. Admission is $10 and there will be guest groups performing and door prizes.

GUEST PREACHER — Evangelist Roger J. Roller will deliver the message at Cullen Baptist Church’s evening service on Sunday, May 7. The service begins at 7 p.m., following a covered dish supper at 5:30 p.m. Rev. Roller is a well-known evangelist in the area and has been a full-time evangelist since 1993. He has held revivals in 12 states and went on mission trips to five of the seven continents.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY WORSHIP — A worship service with Confident Women Ministry is held every Sunday at 3 p.m. online via conference call. Services are led by Rev. Loretta Bailey and anyone is invited to call 1-657-390-7012 to take part.

ST. MICHAEL BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch holds worship services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays of each month Masks are required. The Rev. James E. Goode is the pastor.

AMATEUR RADIO MEETING — The Charlotte County Amateur Radio Club meets the first Sunday of the month at 1426 Estes Road in Chase City. The meeting begins at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Jason at (434) 944-9100.

ST. ANDREWS BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen holds worship services at 11 a.m. the first and third Sundays. Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. the first, second, third and fourth Sundays. The Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney is the pastor.

BEAUTIFUL PLAIN BAPTIST — Beautiful Plain Baptist Church holds services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House until further notice.

HEBRON UNITED METHODIST — Hebron United Methodist Church in Saxe holds in-person services at 9:45 a.m. until further notice. Masks are required to attend.

PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix worship service is at 9 a.m. each Sunday morning. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.

MT. CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1101 Mt. Carmel Road, in Brookneal worship service is at 11 a.m. each Sunday morning. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.
