Holden Hughes, son of Brian Hughes of Charlotte Court House and Jessi Hughes of Lynchburg, competed with the Brookeville Bees Marching Band at the Blue Ridge Festival of Bands in Vinton, on Saturday, Oct. 29. The Brookeville Bees had one of their best marching performances of the year and took home the second place overall finish in the Class AAAA competition. The Bees also had a first place finish in Percussion and second place finishes in Drum Major, Color Guard, General Effects, Marching and Music.
