The Charlotte County Dixie Softball Ponytails, Angels and Darlings All-Star teams all finished the season as state runner-up.
The Ponytails fell to Nottoway losing by only one run. They rallied on Sunday and defeated Timberlake and Nottoway to continue to the championship games on Monday.
Once again they came up short to Nottoway by only one run.
The Angels defeated Lunenburg on Friday, but fell to Appomattox on Saturday.
They rallied for two wins on Sunday over Carroll County and Amherst, but fell to Appomattox again on Monday in the championship game.
The Darlings defeated Powhatan on Friday and Nottoway on Saturday, but fell to Amherst in their second game on Saturday.
They came back strong on Sunday to defeat Nottoway a second time, but lost to Amherst again in the championship game.
