POET TREE DAY — The Charlotte Learning Center is hosting a Poet Tree Day event on Saturday, April 23, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event will be held at Charlotte Learning Center located at 395 Thomas Jefferson Highway in Charlotte Court House. COMMUNITY DAY — Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club (BSMC) will be holding a community day on Sunday, April 24, at 3 p.m. The event is being held at the Central High Museum located at 515 Thomas Jefferson Highway in Charlotte Court House. USED BOOK SALE — There will be a used book sale from 9 a.m. to noon behind the Main Library located at 112 LeGrande Ave. in Charlotte Court House. All proceeds benefit the four libraries of Charlotte County.
NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER EVENT — There will be a National Day of Prayer event at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, at Halifax County High School stadium. Guest speaker will be Jim “The Rookie” Morris. The Cinderella story of Jim Morris serves as testimony to the power of dreams and their ability to inspire and transform human life. Admission is free and refreshments will be available. In the event of rain the event will be moved into the auditorium.
FALCONFEST FURNITURE AUCTION — The FalconFest Furniture Auction will be Saturday, May 14 at Fuqua School’s Gilmer Gym in Farmville. Preview will start at 9 a.m. The live auction begins at 10 a.m. The auctioneer is Jimmy Carwile, Carwile Auctions. All auction items donated by Green Front Furniture. This event is free and open to the public.
