Frankie Wayne Wilkerson of Nathalie passed away March 25. He was born in Halifax County, on April 25, 1997 and was 24 years of age. He was the son of Tina Elizabeth Woods Newcomb and Gary Franklin Wilkerson who survive.
He was a member of Friendship Baptist in Drakes Branch and attended Halifax Baptist Church. He enjoyed baseball and played for Halifax County in a World Series. Frankie was a huge Washington Redskins fan, he loved hunting, fishing and especially loved and adored his children.
Frankie is survived by his children, Kaysen Layne Whitlow of South Boston, Adalynn Revay Wilkerson of Nathalie, Olivia Rae Wilkerson of Nathalie and Karleigh Irene Wilkerson of Nathalie; his mother, Tina Elizabeth Newcomb (Harvey Lee) of Drakes Branch; his father, Gary Franklin Wilkerson (Mary Beth) of Nathalie; three sister, Heather Elizabeth Huling (Kyle) of Halifax, Madison Paige Newcomb of Drakes Branch and Elizabeth Holcomb of Danville; two brothers, Dagen Ryan Newcomb of North Carolina and Derrek Holcomb of South Boston; uncle, Jason Wilkerson (Cheryl) of Clays Mill; aunt, Amy Woods of South Boston and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service was held Saturday, April 2, at 2 p.m., at Fork Baptist Church where the Rev. Ken Warfield, Rev. Jerry Jordan and Rev. Eddie Collins officiated
The family received friends Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
