Clarence Edwin Collie, 87 of Randolph, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 8, at his home surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Tom and Inez Collie. Clarence was preceded in death by three brothers, Fletcher Collie, Thomas Collie and Harold Collie and three sisters, Cecil Collier, Annie Belle Nichols and Lucille Crowder.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Juanita “Ludy” Toombs Collie; one daughter, Donna Collie Wright and husband, Bailey; three grandsons, Dane Wright, Austin Wright and wife, Jennifer, and Travis Wright and wife, Savannah; six great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Alexis, Isaiah, Noah, Gideon and Emma; one sister, Estelle Royster and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 12, at New Hope United Methodist Church, Randolph, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. A luncheon was held for family and friends following the funeral service in the church fellowship hall. Public viewing was held on Friday, Feb. 11, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville.

The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville served the family.
