Marvin Lee Tucker Jr., 38 of Keysville, entered eternal rest on Monday, Aug. 16, at his residence.
Mr. Tucker was born in South Boston on Oct. 9, 1982 to Margaret S. Bass and the late Marvin Lee Tucker Sr. At an early age, he joined First Baptist Church in Wylliesburg, and was a graduate of Bluestone Senior High School, Class of 2000. Mr. Tucker was a former EMT for the Chase City Rescue Squad and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing and was well known for his joking.
In addition to his father, Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his brother, Cordarryle Latwan Tucker and paternal grandparents, Raymond and Lorraine Tucker.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Tia Leanne Cassada Tucker of Keysville; son, Marvin Lee Tucker III of Keysville; his mother and stepfather, Margaret S. Bass (Calvin) of North Chesterfield; sister, Donesha Bass of Henderson, North Carolina; maternal grandparents, Dorothy A. and James F. Stroble Jr.; his mother and father in-law, Kimberly H. and A. David Cassada of Keysville; seven sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Graveside services with military and masonic rights for Marvin Lee Tucker Jr. was conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 21, at the Pulliam-Stroble Family Cemetery, 4480 Highway 92, Boydton, VA. Public viewing was held on Friday from 2 – 6 p.m. A mask was required for all viewings and services.
