John Robert Jones, 61 of Red Oak passed away on Saturday, March 27. He was born on May 19, 1959 in Halifax County and was the son of the late Johnnie James Jones Sr. and the late Nannie Lou Dempsey Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnnie James Jones Jr. and sister, Rita Lynn Holder.

Robert is survived by his brothers, Jesse Jones (Marilyn), Neal Jones (Wilsie) and Herbert Jones (Barbara); sister, Ruth Melton (Bubba); brother-in-law, Tony Holder; sister-in-law, Debbie Jones and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
