Mrs. Sylvia Eubanks Hambright peacefully made her transition on Nov. 28 in Brooklyn, New York. She was born on Oct. 17, 1943 to the late Hezekiah Eubanks, Sr. and Marjorie Hodge Eubanks of Drakes Branch. Sylvia began working for the NYC Human Resource Administration and later became the Supervisor of the Burial Claims Unit and retired in 2015 from HRA after 29 years. She loved her children and grandchildren and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. Sylvia was predeceased by her parents, nine siblings, Roscoe, Sr., Leroy, Sr., Jerome, Isaac, Kermit, Sr., Hezekiah, Jr., Edwina, Mary and Charlotte. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Fred Hambright, Jr. (Amanda) of Patchogue, New York; daughters, Karen Hambright-Glover (Barry) and Sharon Hambright both of Brooklyn, New York; grandchildren, Natasha Hambright(Anoine), Jordan Hambright, and Dillon Pierre, all of New York; sister, Mable E. Scott(Franklin); aunt, Alice “Noby” Eubanks; two sister-in-laws, Lannie Eubanks and Mary Ann Eubanks; host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral Services were held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 at St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch with interment in the church cemetery.
