Carlton O. Tatum, age 86 of Saxe, passed away Nov. 13. He was born and raised in Charlotte County. He served in the U. S. Army as a mail carrier in 1956-1957, and was a retired farmer. Carlton was preceded in death by a son, Tony Tatum. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Annie Tatum; children: David C. Tatum (Janet), Melissa Young (Herman, deceased), Todd D. Tatum (Paula) and Penny A. Powell (Wayne); 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild; brother, Samuel Tatum and wife, Barbara; sister, Hazel Johnson; sister-in-law, Lillie Mae Tatum. Graveside services were held 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16 at The Ferrell Family Cemetery in Saxe. Wood Funeral Service is serving the family. Condolences may be expressed at www.woodfuneralservice.com.
