OCTOBER 3

OPERATION BLESSING — Charlotte County Operation Blessing will have a half-price sale on all household goods on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Clothing will be on sale at a later date. Please come and support this local ministry.

STEW FUNDRAISER — The Sisters of Alpha Delta Kappa will be having a stew fundraiser on Saturday, October 3 at Keysville Auto.  The stew will be ready between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. The cost is $7 per quart.  All proceeds will go into a scholarship fund for local high school students interested in the teaching profession. SIT & SIP CANCELED — The Third Annual Miss Janie’s Sit & Sip Wine Festival scheduled for  Saturday, Oct. 3, from noon to 6 p.m. Has been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.

OCTOBER 4 

AMATEUR RADIO MEETING — The Charlotte County Amateur Radio Club will meet at the Keysville Fire Station located at 500 Osborne St behind Burger King at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4.

REVIVAL SERVICES — Revival services will be held at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Abilene on Oct. 4 through Oct. 8. Services will start Sunday night and go through Thursday at 7 p.m. Guest evangelists will be Rev. Matt Wilkins from Lynchburg. Special music will be provided each night. Everyone is invited to come and worship with us.

OCTOBER 6

BEEKEEPERS MEETING CANCELED — The Heart of Virginia Beekeepers meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. at the Prince Edward County Extension Office is canceled. For more information call Mary Jane Morgan at 434-315-1433.

OCTOBER 24

GOSPEL CONCERT — Michael Wayne Smith will be in concert Saturday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Keysville.

OCTOBER 31

MONSTER MASH TOURNAMENT — Randolph-Henry High School Athletics is presenting the Monster Mash Golf Tournament Saturday, Oct. 31 at Briery Country Club. With a 9 a.m. shotgun start, the event will feature a four-person scramble format and an 18-team limit. All registration and hole sponsorship forms must be received by Oct. 26. BEAUTIFUL PLAIN BAPTIST — Beautiful Plain Baptist Church will hold services the second and fourth Sundays at 11 a.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House until further notice.

HEBRON UNITED METHODIST — Hebron United Methodist Church in Saxe will hold in-person services at 9:45 a.m. until further notice. Masks are required to attend.

LEBANON UNITED METHODIST — Until further notice Lebanon UMC on Crofton’s Gate Highway in Drakes Branch will be holding in-person worship at 11 a.m. on the first and third Sundays of the month. Masks are required to attend.

CHARLOTTE COURTHOUSE UNITED METHODIST — Until further notice Charlotte Courthouse UMC will be holding in-person services at 10 a.m. on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Masks are required to attend. Services will also be broadcast on Facebook Live.

PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix will have a worship service each Sunday morning at 9 a.m. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.

MT. CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1101 Mt. Carmel Rd., in Brookneal will have a worship service each Sunday morning at 11 a.m. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.
