Solar farm should be on the ballot
To The Editor:
I have some questions for the community of Charlotte County.
First, why is it that no one really talks about the impact of thousands of acres of solar panels will have on our wildlife. Just look at what is happening in Spotsylvania County and that one is only supposed to be 6,350 acres. Here, big business wants 18,600 acres. See https://sites.google.com/view/concernedcitizensspotsylvania/home regarding the Spotsylvania plight of its citizens
Does anyone care that the pollinators, including bees, butterflies, birds, the land mammals including the tortoise, fox and bear will be wiped out? Doesn’t anyone care that the heat index will rise significantly year round, decreasing rainfall and snowfall?
I am deeply saddened by this and would like to know why. I would like to see this go on the November ballot. Is anyone else with me?
