 The metal framework began to go up last week for the new Drakes Branch Volunteer Fire Department and municipal building. The fire department and town’s municipal building was heavily damaged during tropical storm Michael that flooded the area in October of 2018. The new building will be located across the street from the current location, but out of the flood zone.
