William (Bill) Herbert Oswald, age 76, died March 31, 2019, and his wife Bonnie Kay Oswald, age 78, died January 11, 2019 and will be interred on Monday, May 18 at Arlington National Cemetery. A private service will be held at the Memorial Chapel at 101 McNair Road, Fort Myer, VA on Fort Myer Military Base followed by the Military Funeral Honors.

Bill enlisted in the US Army and served in Vietnam where he has many honors including the Bronze Star. He retired as a Sergeant First Class and moved to Colorado Springs where he met and married Bonnie on September 3, 1982. Bonnie worked as a manager for AAFES, which took them on tours in Germany, Azores, back to Colorado Springs and Tennessee. After Bonnie retired, they moved to Elizabeth City, NC and then to Charlotte CH, VA where they were members of the United Methodist Church and Friends of the Library. They spent their time in CCH raising Alpacas and Chickens and loving their pets Missy, Maggie and Rusty.
