Reading around the world
Bacon District Elementary School held a Family Literacy night event called Reading Around the World on Monday, Jan. 13. The event featured books, read by special guests, from four different countries, each in a different part of the world. Students and parents heard stories from Costa Rica, Hungary, New Zealand, and Gambia detailing some of the unique cultural features of each country. During the evening, food from each of the countries was served. Pictured are, from left, Alexis Gayles, Sydney Gayles, Nora Gayles, Olivia Dix, Alyssa Diz and Brooke McKinney.
