Statesmen win by 30
Randolph-Henry High School’s varsity boys basketball team started 2020 with an exclamation point by downing host Cumberland County High School 80-50 on Friday night, Jan. 3.
“I just believe all of the fundamentals we preach and the style of play we want to achieve, it all manifested itself especially in the first half, but also throughout the game,” Statesmen Head Coach Joshua Haskins said.
The Statesmen were led on offense by junior guard Brenden Francisco with 23 points, senior guard/forward Jordan Pulliam with 15 points and junior guard Ryetwon Callaham with 13 points.
Haskins noted that based on what he saw in this game, the plan moving forward for his team is “just to keep working on building our fundamentals from an individual and team concept to grow day by day.”
Randolph-Henry hosts Altavista Combined School on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 7 p.m.
