The Red House Volunteer Fire Department (RHVFD) responded to a chimney fire, in a two-story home, located in the 2000 block of Thorntons Mill Road around 6:20 p.m. on Jan. 3. According to Chief Chad Reeves the owners were home at the time, and heavy smoke was visible from the left side of the house with fire showing from the eaves when firefighters arrived.
