CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT SERVICE, 5:30 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church.

CHRISTMAS EVE PROGRAM, 7 p.m. at St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen.

DECEMBER 31 

WATCH NIGHT, 10 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church of Keysville. The Rev. Lloyd Wesley, Pastor of the Mt. Ellis Baptist Church, Keysville, will deliver the message, accompanied by his church choir. Everyone is welcome to come out and give God praise.

JANUARY 7 

BEEKEEPERS TO MEET, 7 p.m. at the Prince Edward County Extension Office near Lowe’s in Farmville. Retired Longwood chemistry professor Pat Barber will speak on keeping honeybees in southside Virginia. Sign-ups for the bee school will be on a space available basis. JANUARY 11 

INTERFAITH DEVOTIONAL, 7 p.m. for followers of all faiths and none at 771 Greenfield Road, Charlotte Courthouse. Prayers, music, socializing and refreshments. “So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth” – Baha’u’llah.
