Freeman sworn in as sheriff
Royal Freeman is sworn in as the new sheriff of Charlotte County by Clerk of the Circuit Court Nan Colley on Monday, Dec. 23, at the county’s new courthouse in front of friends, family and employees of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office. Freeman succeeds Sheriff Thomas Jones, who served the county for 32 years.
