Drakes Branch Mayor Denise Pridgen and town council members will host a Christmas Open House on Sunday, Dec. 1, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the town Municipal Building. Celebrate the season with your friends and neighbors, and enjoy an afternoon of assorted finger foods.

Door prizes will be given out, and each child will receive a stocking, while supplies last. Town officials are asking that if anyone would like to contribute food items to call the town office at (434) 568-3091, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
