Gary Walker has announced his candidacy for the Charlotte Court House district seat on the Board of Supervisors. Having served on the Charlotte Court House town council for 12 years, the County school board for eight years and the Board of Supervisors for 24, Walker feels he is uniquely qualified to serve. Without making any pie-in- the-sky campaign promises Walker wishes to continue to work for all the people of the county to improve economic growth, education, public safety and recreational activities.

Walker said he feels the best means to economic growth is to continue to assist existing businesses to succeed by keeping the taxes as low as possible and by trying to control unnecessary spending at the local level. High priority should be given to encourage private investments in internet availably for the entire county.

Serving the people of Charlotte County is a privilege and he says he will always keep his door open to talk with anyone about their concerns and their ideas for the betterment of our dear County.
