The faculty and staff of Phenix Elementary School recognized Jamie Brown for her service to the school. Brown was the principal of Phenix from 2016-2019. During her time at the school, Brown oversaw the construction and renovation of the building. Brown, who attended the school as an elementary student, said that providing a safe learning environment for the students was her priority. She stated that the new construction and updates to the existing building far exceeded her expectations. The faculty presented her with a painting of the school. Connie Queensberry, art teacher at Central Middle School, was the artist who painted the piece. Brown is now working as director of student services for Charlotte County Public Schools.
