Eugene D. Wells Jr. is seeking reelection as a director with the Southside Soil and Water Conservation District which he has served for four years.

The Southside District is comprised of Charlotte and Lunenburg County.

Wells was born in Charlotte County and graduated from Central High School. He has a bachelor and master’s degree from NC Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro.

Wells is very much involved in the community as he serves on the Charlotte County Planning Commission and is the zoning administrator for the town of Drakes Branch. He is a trustee and choir member at Shiloh Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. Wells is a Navy Veteran as well as having 20 years’ experience in law enforcement.

Wells encourages everyone to vote on Nov. 5 and to consider reelecting him to this position.
