Clarksville Community Players present R.T. Robinson’s “The Cover of Life” at the Fine Arts Center, located at 914 Virginia Ave. in Clarksville, on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 18-19 at 7:30 p.m. and a Sunday matinee on Oct. 20 at 3 p.m.

“The Cover of Life” tells the story of three young brides in rural Louisiana in 1943 who go to live with their mother-in-law during WWII and details how the Cliffert wives become a local newspaper story, which gets picked up by Henry Luce who in turn decides the ladies belong on the cover of Life Magazine. Eventually all the characters involved come face to face with their lifelong battles and must confront their individual struggles for self-worth.

Director Josh Glasscock of Clarksville has assembled an experienced and talented cast and crew to bring this story to life on the Clarksville stage in what will be his first dramatic directorial debut.

The Box office opens on Oct. 12 and box office hours are Monday-Friday, noon-6 p.m.
